Thursday 27th September
There will be a new wine tasting held in the Bar and Bistro on the 27th of September at 7.15pm! The subject for this tasting will be ‘New World Signature Grape Wines’!
A summary for the night is as follows:
Despite inheriting a whole range of Old World Wine Grapes from European colonists, certain varieties have emerged in the New World through specialisation to find international acclaim, to the extent that they are now considered national ‘Signature Grape’ wines as modern day classics in their own right.
Sampling 9 single varietal examples of these (4 Whites and 5 Reds) from 6 different countries, on show will be:
- Torrontes – Argentina
- Chenin Blanc – South Africa
- Chardonnay – Australia
- Sauvignon Blanc – New Zealand
- Pinotage – South Africa
- Zinfandel – California, U.S.A.
- Carmenere – Chile
- Shiraz – Australia
- Malbec- Argentina
Tickets are £15 and include a selection of light bites! Tickets are available from the Bar, by either popping down or calling 0141 334 7783! This event is sure to be popular, so make sure you don’t miss out!
