On 2nd April The Western Baths Cycling Club met to remember Fred Craig.
Fred was a member of the Western Baths Club who died in 2017 while cycling along Crow Road.
The Cycling Club rode along the canal to Kirkintilloch and then on to the old Strathblane Railway cycle path to Blanefield. After refreshments at the Kirkhouse Inn, members of the group chose their return journey depending on their cycling experience.
The cyclists who returned via Crow Road will have passed the area where Fred died. Fred’s family have marked the spot with a plaque on the road barrier.
Frank and Carolyn McGeoghegan, who organise the Cycling Group, would like to thank everyone who took part on 2nd April. Unfortunately, due to injury Frank wasn’t able to participate but he is looking forward to organising and taking part in regular rides in the future.
