Water Polo has been played at The Western Baths since the 1890’s.
The Club in its current incarnation emigrated from The Arlington Baths in 1994.
Training: Monday Night 8:30 – 10:00 pm
The Western Baths Water Polo Club has been participating in the WEST CUP (The oldest Water Polo Cup in the world) since the mid 1990’s and originally since the 1890’s.
We also participate in the Scottish Cup and Scottish National League competitions with both Men’s and Women’s teams.
We are keen to pass on our vast wealth of experience to new players, (young or not so young), wishing to develop their skills and learn new techniques, whether it is in the pool playing the game or learning the rules of the game for the development of referees and match officials.
We can provide individual or group training during our Monday night session and would welcome any new recruits to the club and the sport. All we ask for is a few wee bursts of hard work, commitment and a good sense of humour.
We are a friendly and social group of Polo players who like nothing better than to come down once a week for a wash, a gab, a swim, a wee fling of the ball, a few shots, a quick knock around game and then a quiet shandy.
Feel free to come and try it out on a Monday Night.
